After much negotiation, the MDMK has signed a seat sharing deal with the AIADMK.MDMK will contest in four constituencies - Virudhnagar, Thanjavur, Erode and the Nilgiris. The AIADMK will contest in 23 constituencies.In its general council meeting on Thursday, MDMK chief Vaiko announced that the party would launch a television channel in 2009.The AIADMK has fielded actor S S Chandran in Central Chennai to take on DMK's Dayanidhi Maran, Raja Kannappan in Sivaganga to take on Home Minister P Chidambaram and former Union minister Thambidurai will fight from Karur. Already the party has allotted six seats to the Left and seven to the PMK.
