अल कायदा या दहशतवादी संघटनेचा म्होरक्या ओसामा बिन लादेनची प्रकृती ठणठणीत असून आपल्या सहकार्‍यांना तोच 'आदेश' देत असल्याची माहिती एका पाकिस्तानी वंशाच्या टॅक्सी चालकाने उघड केली आहे.


राजा लहरसीब खान असे या टॅक्सी चालकाचे नाव असून अल कायदाशी संबंध असल्याप्रकरणी या एफबीआयने त्याला अटक केली आहे. एफबीआयच्या एका गुप्त एजंटने या टॅक्सी चालकाशी संपर्क साधून त्याच्याकडून बरीच माहिती काढून घेतली. त्यात अल कायदाशी संबंधित हुजी या अतिरेकी संघटनेचा प्रमुख इलियास काश्मीरीशी या टॅक्सी चालकाचे असलेले संबंध उघड झाले आहेत. या सगळ्या मुद्यांचा समावेश त्याच्याविरोधात दाखल केलेल्या आरोपपत्रात करण्यात आलेला आहे.


या टॅक्सी चालकाचे इलियास काश्मिरीशी - ज्याला तो लाला असे संबोधतो- बोलणे झाल्यानंतर त्यात काश्मीरीने ओसामा जिवंत असून ठणठणीत असल्याचे सांगितले. शिवाय तोच संघटनाच चालवतो आणि आदेशही देतो, असेही स्पष्ट केले.

The world's most wanted terrorist Osama bin Laden is "healthy" and "giving orders" to deputies in al Qaeda, according to a Pakistani-origin taxi driver arrested by FBI here on charges of providing funds to the terror outfit.

A 35-page complaint affidavit against Raja Lahrasib Khan, arrested on Friday for allegedly providing material support to terrorism and funds to al Qaeda, gives details of conversations recorded between him and an undercover law enforcement agent about his association with al Qaeda operative Ilyas Kashmiri, also the chief of Pakistan-based Harakat ul-Jihad-I-Islami (HuJI).

In conversations taped on February 23 between Khan and the undercover agent, the 56-year-old taxi driver claims that Kashmiri, whom he addresses as "Lala" told him that bin Laden is "healthy...perfect".

"... I asked the Lala about him (Osama). And he (Kashmiri) says he's (Osama) healthy, he's leading," according to the affidavit against Khan submitted in a court here.
