195 प्रवाशांचे प्राण तासभर अधांतरी

दिल्लीहून श्रीनगरकडे जात असलेल्‍या स्पाइस जेटच्‍या एका विमानाच्‍या उड्डाणानंतर त्याचे टायर फुटल्‍याची शक्यता वर्तविली जात असून यामुळे विमानाची एमर्जन्‍सी लँडींग करण्‍यात आली आहे. विमानाचे टायरच फुटल्‍याने सर्व तपासण्‍या केल्‍यानंतरच ते प्रत्यक्षात धावपट्टीवर उतरविण्‍यात आले असून दिल्ली विमानतळावर आणिबाणीची घोषणा करण्‍यात आली होती. या विमानात 195 प्रवाशी होते.


सूत्रांनी याबाबत दिलेल्‍या माहितीनुसार दुपारी 2.30 वाजेच्‍या सुमारास दिल्‍लीच्‍या इंदिरा गांधी विमानतळावरून स्‍पाईस जेटच्या विमानाने उड्डाण घेतल्‍यानंतर रनवेवर काही टायरचे तुकडे आणि नटबोल्‍ट आढळून आल्‍यानंतर विमानाला तत्काळ उतरविण्‍यात आले आहे.

विमानाच्‍या फ्यूएल टँकला हवेतच रिकामे करण्‍यात आले असून त्यानंतर विमान उतरविण्‍यात आले.

The Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital went into a tizzy Monday following the discovery of certain mechanical parts and pieces of tyre on the runway minutes after a SpiceJet flight took off for Srinagar.

The SpiceJet flight SG 224 on its way to Srinagar, has since made a safe landing back at the IGI under emergency procedures.

Although details are sketchy at the moment – earlier it was claimed that the flight under question was heading to Chennai - but, as per reports, minutes after the SpiceJet flight took to the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the Air Traffic Control (ATC) saw some objects lying on the runway.

The ATC, not willing to take any chances, asked the captain to return to the airport immediately.
