आयपीएलच्‍या फ्रेंचायजीवर प्राप्‍तीकर विभागाचे छापे सुरूच असून आता त्‍याभोवतीचा फास आवळला जात आहे. अधिका-यांच्‍या पथकाने क्रिकेट असोसिएशन ऑफ बंगाल सोबतच हैदराबाद येथील डेक्कन चार्जर्सच्‍या कार्यालयावर व चेन्नई सुपर किंग्सचे मालक इंडिया सीमेंटवरही छापा टाकला आहे.


प्राप्‍तीकर विभागाने आर्थिक अनियमितांच्‍या पार्श्‍वभूमीवर ही कारवाई केली आहे. कोलकातातील बंगाल क्रिकेट असोसिएशन व्‍यतिरीक्त शाहरूख खानच्‍या रेड चिलीज आणि गेम प्लानच्‍या कार्यालयावरही छापे टाकले. गेम प्लान ही संस्‍था कोलकाता संघाच्‍या (केकेआर) खेळा संदर्भात प्राथमिकता पाहण्‍याचे काम करते.

इन्‍कम टॅक्स विभागाच्‍या पथकाने बंगाल क्रिकेट असोसिएशनच्‍या कार्यालयातील कागदपत्रांच्‍या तपासणीसह अधिका-यांचीही चौकशी केली.

In a bid to collect documents relating to the discrepancies in their ownership patterns, Income Tax (I-T) officials conducted nation-wide raids at the offices of all IPL franchisees on Wednesday. Top officers of income tax department also grilled under-fire IPL commissioner Lalit Modi at his Worli based Mumbai office.

The raids were conducted at the offices of the owners of Chennai Super Kings, Kings XI Punjab, Deccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils.

There were simultaneous raids on the offices of Shah Rukh Khan-Juhi Chawla-promoted Red Chilies Entertainment, which owns KKR, at the Eden gardens and then on Gameplan, a sports management group which looks after KKR's affairs, on Shakespeare Sarani, a posh locality of South Kolkata.

The seven-member IT team first went to the office of KKR and then to the CAB at the Eden Gardens and examined the papers. Four members of the team then went to the office of Gameplan.

"The income tax officials are here looking for papers related to IPL. We are cooperating with them," CAB president, Jagmohan Dalmiya's personal assistant said.

Dalmiya was scheduled to hold a press conference relating to IPL in the evening, which was subsequently postponed, he added.

Earlier, summons were issued to the BCCI by the Income Tax authorities to furnish complete details of all eight original Indian Premier League franchises.

The IT authorities are investigating the entire IPL structure, which has become a huge revenue-earning entity for the BCCI, since its inception in 2008.

There are five Indian Revenue Service officials in the raid team.

The team leader told reporters that "it is part of a raid. Raids are done in two ways, either you search or conduct a survey. We are doing a survey here. We have been asked to conduct a survey here.”

"Though Red Chillies Entertainment is headquarted in Mumbai, this is their home venue where seven IPL matches were played. There were many transactions here and several papers and documents are lying here," he said.

Pointing out that the last KKR match was played at the Eden Gardens on April 19, the official said "we will complete the work no matter how long it takes and until we are satisfied."
