मायावतींच्या पार्कसाठी आता विशेष सुरक्षा दल

मायावती यांनी आपल्या शासनकाळात बनविण्यात आलेल्या पार्क आणि स्मारकांच्या रक्षणासाठी विशेष सुरक्षा दल तयार करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. त्या संदर्भात विधीमंडळाच्या मागील अधिवेशनात मंजूर करण्यात आलेल्या विधेयकावर राज्यपालांची स्वाक्षरी झालेली नाही. मात्र तरीही या विशेष दलासाठी शनिवारपासून भरती प्रक्रिया सुरू करण्यात आली आहे.

उत्तर प्रदेशचे कॅबिनेट सचिव शशांक शेखर सिंह यांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार लखनऊ आणि नोएडामध्ये बनविण्यात आलेल्या नऊ पार्क आणि स्मारकांच्या रक्षणासाठी मंत्रिमंडळाने 1200 माजी सैनिकांची भरती करण्याचा निर्णय धेतला असून ही भरती शनिवारपासून सुरू झाली आहे.
युपी स्पेशल झोन सुरक्षा दल नावाने स्थापित करण्यात येणार असलेल्या या सुरक्षा दलावर वर्षाला 8 ते 9 कोटी रुपयांचा खर्च येणार आहे. या संदर्भातील विधेयक राज्यपालांकडे मंजुरीसाठी प्रलंबित असले तरीही अशा प्रकारची नियुक्ती हा प्रशासकीय भाग असल्याने त्यासाठी विधेयक किंवा अध्यादेशाची गरज नसते असा दावा कॅबिनेट सचिव सिंह यांनी केला आहे.

After failing to get the Governor's nod for a bill and an ordinance, the Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh on Friday took a controversial decision to start recruitment from Saturday for a police force to guard parks and memorials for Dalit icons.
"The need for a trained force for the security of these memorials and parks was felt by the government and the state cabinet today (Friday) decided to recruit ex servicemen to raise a battalion of some 1200 personnel for providing security to nine parks, memorials and museums in Lucknow and NOIDA", Cabinet Secretary Shahshank Shekhar Singh said here.
On the bill and ordinance sent to the Governor on February 18 and March 26 respectively, Singh said they have nothing to do with today's decision by the cabinet. The Governor is yet to clear either the bill or the ordinance.
To a question whether the bill and the ordinace would become infructuous with the cabinet's decision to recruit ex- servicemen for the police force, Singh said they were pending with the Governor and the government has had no talks on them with the Raj Bhawan.
