आयपीएलमध्ये 'सहारा पुणे वॉरिअर्स'ची एन्ट्री

इंडियन प्रीमियर लीगमध्ये नव्याने सहभागी झालेल्या पुणे फ्रॅंचाईजी संघाचे नाव सहारा पुणे वॉरिअर्स असे ठेवण्यात आले असून येथील स.प. महाविद्यालयाच्या प्रांगणात झालेल्या भव्य कार्यक्रमात संघाच्या नावाची घोषणा करण्यात आली. सहारा इंडिया परिवाराचे अर्ध्वयु सुब्रोतो रॉय ही घोषणा केली.
पुणे संघाच्या नावाबाबत पुणेकर क्रीडा रसिकांमध्ये गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून उत्सुकता होती. एका भव्य कार्यक्रमात महाराष्ट्राच्या संस्कृतिची ओळख करून देत संघाच्या बोधचिन्हाचेही (लोगो) यावेळी अनावरण करण्यात आले. अभिनेत्री उर्मिला मातोंडकर व चित्रपट अभिनेते व दिग्दर्शक महेश मांजरेकर यांनी कार्यक्रमाचे संचलन केले.
पुणेकरांशी असलेल्या स्नेहबंधातून यावेळी सहारा समुहाचे प्रमुख सुब्रोतो रॉय यांनी काही योजनाही जाहीर केल्या त्यानुसार पुणे जिल्ह्यासाठी आठ मेडीकल व्हॅन देण्याची घोषणा केली. या व्हॅन गावा-गावांमध्ये जाऊन लोकांवर मोफत उपचार करतील. या व्हॅन्समध्ये टेस्टींगची सुविधा असणार असून रुग्णांना मोफत औषधी दिल्या जाणार आहेत. तर पुणे लोकसभा मतदार क्षेत्रातील लोकांचा सामूहिक अपघात विमा काढण्यात येणार असून अपघाती मृत्यू झाल्यास मृतांच्या वारसांना एक लाख रुपये मदत दिली जाणार आहे.
या शिवाय पुण्यातील तरुणांमध्ये क्रिडा क्षेत्रा संदर्भात आवड वाढावी यासाठी प्रोत्साहन निधीही दिला जाणार आहे. त्यानुसार राज्यस्तरावरील खेळाडूस दरमहा पाच हजार, राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील खेळाडूस दहा हजार तर आंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेटपटूला 20 हजार रुपये प्रोत्साहन भत्ता देण्यात येणार आहे. तर गरीब पण हुशार विद्यार्थ्यांना स्कॉलरशीप दिली जाणार आहे.
यावेळी मनोरंजनात्मक अनेक कार्यक्रमही सादर करण्यात आले. कार्यक्रमास सहारा परीवारातील सदस्यांसह क्रिडा व कला क्षेत्रातील अनेक दिग्गज उपस्थित होते.
Pune IPL team to be called Sahara Pune Warriors
PuneSahara Pune warriors is the name of the new IPL Pune Team owned by Sahara India parivar.The name and the logo was unveiled in a entertaining Programme at S.P.College ground by Chairman Subroto Roy Sahara.The logo consists of a warrior sitting on a Horse.
The Programme was anchored by actor Urmila Matondkar and Director Mahesh Manjerakar.
On this occasion Roy said it seems as if his previous life he was born in Pune and his attchment for Pune keeps growing. He gifted eight Medical Vans, fitted with latest equipment which will help in curing the poor who are below the poverty line.For the Pune Lok sabha Constituency a insurance scheme has been launched. Rupees One Lakhs will be recieved by the kin of the person who dies in an accident.
To promote sports in the city he announced Rupees five thousand for State level Players,Rupees ten thousand for National Level Players,and Rupees twenty thousand for International level Players.
The porgramme was attended by Chairman Subroto Roy Sahara, Deputy managing worker Mrs.Swapna Roy and other family members along with many film stars who entertained the audience along with the dance group from Shaimak Davar.
Sahara India Parivar has been Promoting Sports like Indian Cricket and Hockey teams along with Boxing, wrestling and shooting.Total of 56 players from these sports will be given every possible support to compete in Olympics 2012 in London.
